How To Eat McDonald’s For 30 Days Without Getting Fat: Day 29
I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I intended to spend the remaining three days of showing people how to eat McDonald’s for 30 days without getting fat having meals that were both non-traditional and enjoyable.
My dinner last night (and in fact my entire calorie intake for the day) consisted of only one Large Rolo McFlurry from McDonald’s.
It sure was nice to sit down to a dessert item after having stuck to regular menu items for most of the month.
My decision to have some fun meals near the end of this McDonald’s marathon has turned out to be a wise choice. I have really been craving sweets lately and still need to hold off for ten days before Lyann and I celebrate our next SaveYourSweat.com Weight Loss free day.
For those not familiar with free days here at SaveYourSweat.com Weight Loss, they are the occasions (once per month) where my wife Lyann and I take a single day to eat whatever we want and as much of it as we want.
The discipline is to go back to eating a healthy diet of lean meats, vegetables and fruit once our free day is over. We must then wait a full 30 days before repeating the free day experience.
This method of dieting requires a great deal of self-discipline and personal responsibility, especially because we teach people how to achieve permanent weight loss without exercise.
Knowing that I can lose weight and maintain my weight while eating nothing but McDonald’s food for a month, how do you think I must fare when eating a healthy diet that is rich in essential nutrients?
What I am currently doing by showing people how to eat McDonald’s for 30 days without getting fat is not healthy, but it does prove that it is not what you eat, but how much you eat that makes you fat. Any food is okay to eat in moderation.
You all possess the ability to make the necessary changes in your life in order to achieve permanent weight loss without exercise. The question is will you?
How badly do you want to lose weight? Have you set a goal weight for your weight loss without exercise plan? Have you written down your goal? When would you like to achieve it?
These questions must be answered if you are to guarantee your success.
I saved the fun meals I would order from McDonald’s until last so that it would be easier to get through the last few days of this McDonald’s odyssey. That is personal responsibility and planning in action in order to reach a specific weight loss goal within a specific time frame.

My Current Weight And Body Fat
- My Current Weight: 141.4 lbs
- My Current Body Fat: 17.6%
Once again I have reached the absolute lightest weight of my adult life. Even I am having a difficult time believing that I accomplished this personal development goal while eating nothing but food from McDonald’s for a month.
My weight has dropped by a full 15.0 lbs over the last 29 days with most of that loss occurring earlier in this food trial.
My body fat percentage reading has dropped by 4.5% during that same time period, yet I have sampled the entire menu of McDonald’s food offerings.
Nobody will be happier than me when I get back to eating healthier food again. You can control your weight when forced to eat nothing but junk food due to financial constraints, but it is not healthy in the long run.
Your normal diet should be made up of lean meats, vegetables and fruit. You can only eat substandard food for so long before your body starts to get sick.
What McDonald’s Food I Ate Today
The McDonald’s food I chose to eat today was as follows:
- Three McDonald’s Baked Apple Pies
Here is how my meal of McDonald’s food appeared on my plate tonight:

These McDonald’s Baked Apple Pies are not the same as they were when I was a kid. The outside of the apple pie used to be crispier and there was way more filling in them back 20 or 30 years ago.
The taste of these Baked Apple Pies was similar to what I enjoyed so many years ago, but the size of this particular dessert has definitely decreased over time.
The crust used to be more like a phyllo pastry than a regular pie crust. The current crust no longer flakes apart like the old one used to.
The experience may not have been what I remember from childhood when I sat down to dinner tonight, but the pies were really tasty nonetheless.
My total calorie intake for the day consisted of:
- Three McDonald’s Baked Apple Pies – 810 calories
These three McDonald’s Baked Apple Pies made up my entire calorie intake for the day, coming in at a total of 810 calories.
Eating just three McDonald’s Baked Apple Pies in a day is not healthy, but I did fulfill my daily calorie intake and I did have fun doing it. If you never take time to enjoy yourself, you will have challenges sticking to the achievement of any goal.
Total Cost Of My McDonald’s Meals So Far
With only one more meal cost to add to my running total for the month, it looks like I will not get my average meal price down below the $6.00 mark.
However, my total cost for the entire time I have been showing people how to eat McDonald’s for 30 days without getting fat will come in under the $200.00 mark.
I count that result as a major success because it looked for a while like I was going to spend nearly $240.00 for the month when I was just getting started a month ago.

The average cost of my McDonald’s meals for the last 29 days works out to $6.24 per meal (or per day since I only eat once per day).
This means it is actually quite feasible to live off McDonald’s food for a month without spending a fortune and to lose weight at the same time without exercise.
I knew I would lose weight successfully even though I planned on not exercising during this food trial.
Follow this meal plan for 30 days yourself and you will be amazed at how the extra pounds drop off your frame.
Twenty-nine days down, one to go…
