Proposition 8 and Homosexual Sleight of Hand

The people of North America and other developed countries are being fooled.

The recent concentration on Proposition 8 by the media in the state of California was the result of a carefully crafted sleight of hand campaign by pro-gay and lesbian activists.

Sleight of hand magic has seven main principles which all apply to the gay and lesbian homosexual agenda and their push for getting legislation opposed to Proposition 8 made into law:

  1. Palming – Holding an object in an apparently empty hand.
  2. Ditching – Secretly disposing of an unneeded object.
  3. Stealing – Secretly obtaining a needed object.
  4. Loading – Secretly moving an object to where it is needed.
  5. Simulating – Giving the impression that something that has not happened, actually has.
  6. Misdirecting – Leading attention away from a secret move.
  7. Switching – Secretly exchanging one object for another.

Homosexual advocates approach the public and the courts alike with outstretched hands, pleading for acceptance and compassion from society while secretly palming their playbook for social change.  They make themselves out to be victims of an intolerant society, seeking shelter under anti-discrimination laws which were made to uphold decency, not for protecting an infinite number of deviant personal preferences.

Homosexuals have artfully ditched the old, negative stigma associated with their sexual practices by stealing and defiling the English term “Gay”, which used to represent cheer, but now stands only for their collective effort to have their deviant behaviour accepted by others and to cover up the nastier parts of their lifestyle that they want to draw the public’s attention away from.  Homosexuals do a great job of making people believe that they are super nice, decent people so that they can cry persecution and injustice when someone points out their sin to them.

The leaders of the homosexual movement have used the process of loading to infiltrate every institution in Canada and America that was founded upon the word and supremacy of God.  It is a sad day when even the Boy Scouts are required to defend themselves from being forced by law to allow homosexual troop leaders among their ranks.  It is a travesty that openly gay church leaders are being ordained every day.

It really amazes me that through the process of simulation, homosexuals have impressed upon the minds of the public that they have shared in the same type of persecution and fight for equality as have the Jewish people during the holocaust, or the black population of America during their emancipation from slavery.

This was done intentionally, to misdirect the public eye from their plan for growth.  Homosexual men and women have been quietly climbing the ranks of every facet of North American business and social life, while making the public feel sorry for them and putting their fight for equality under the law at the forefront of the media.

They have been switching from their old life of anonymity and fear to one of open promiscuity and boldness, not only condoning and justifying their behaviour before us, but also causing a monumental shift in the values we hold dear.  How did our nations come the the point where acts that were once considered the product of a mental imbalance are now being taught to our children in the public school system?

I thought that state sponsored religion was wrong, but it seems that it is ok to remove the Lord Jesus Christ from our classrooms while replacing our worship of Him with the religion of homosexuality.  If and when I do have kids, they will be taught the truth of God’s word and will know that He would never approve of a union between two men or two women.

I am amazed that our nations continue to fall for one of the oldest magic tricks in any magicians’ repertoire.  What started as a small movement in the 1960’s has now become an apparently unstoppable agenda aimed at undermining the supreme authority under which both Canada and the United States were founded.

The very first line of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states:

Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law

The God referred to here is the Christian God, the God of the Israelites, the God of the Jews, the one and only true God of the bible.  Our Christian forefathers believed in honouring His principles and in upholding the teachings of His son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Anyone who has ever looked at the back of an American penny has seen the following words:

The recent narrow passing of Proposition 8 in the state of California has called the resolution and commitment of the American people to trust in God into question in my mind.

How is it that countries such as ours can have fallen so far from God’s grace?  If Canada really does recognize the supremacy of God and if the United States really does trust in God, then how can we ever have allowed an issue like the legalization of homosexual marriage to come to the forefront of our two societies?

The issue our governments should be discussing is whether or not the homosexual lifestyle is something our supposedly God-fearing nations should be condoning at all.  Though I am all for non-discrimination based on age, gender, race or colour,  I am opposed to the thought of awarding anti-discriminatory protection under the law to any group of people for some specific preference they have.

We might as well prepare ourselves for the day when the two out of three dentists that prefer Colgate toothpaste decide to organize nationwide and seek equality by hiding behind laws that were meant to uphold human decency.

Why is it necessary to have a gay and lesbian section for every conceivable product and service in our country?  How long will it be before we are subjected to walking past the very prominent Masochist or Child Molester section of our favourite bookstore just to reach the other products for sale?

If any fringe group with immoral standards can unite and demand equality under the law then where do we draw the line?  How will we define morality in the future if our own governments pass laws that condone acceptance and equality for any organization despite their activities?  I have been watching these types of events unfold while feeling overcome by sadness, incredulity and despair.

I am saddened by the argument over homosexual marriage specifically because as a firm believer in God and the Lord Jesus Christ and by virtue of being a regular reader of His word, I am well aware of how He feels about homosexual activity.

When a person becomes a member of the body of Christ, they take on the mind of the Lord.  Thus, my feelings about homosexuality are the same as His.  The Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father both hate sin, but love sinners.  This is made quite clear in the following excerpt from the bible:

Matthew 5:44-45 – But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

So God is saying that He still loves us, His children, despite the fact that we disobey His commandments.  However, it does not mean that He condones our actions.  Exactly how does God feel about homosexual acts on the part of women or men?  Let the following verses serve as examples to you:

Deuteronomy 22:5 – The woman shall not wear that which pertainith unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

Romans 1:26-27 – For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

God calls homosexuality on the part of men or women abomination.  God uses the word abomination in order to convey His extreme and never-changing attitude toward this particular sin.  Abomination is defined in our modern dictionaries as: anything abominable; anything greatly disliked or abhorred; intense aversion or loathing; detestation; a vile, shameful or detestable action, condition or habit.

What makes me so sad about the sin of homosexuality is that God loves the people who partake in it, yet even though they profess to love Him, they continue to do that which He very openly finds detestable.  You cannot be a willing participant in the homosexual lifestyle and claim to love God.  I am amazed that anyone who claims to be of sound mind can read the scriptures and refuse to acknowledge this truth.

It is incredulously weird that the general public and the government would give so much collective support to the gay and lesbian agenda.  Every year, thousands of people flock to gay pride parades, supporting the openly defiant nature of these events toward God.  Most of the general public even refuses to take notice that gays and lesbians have stolen the rainbow, God’s sign of His promise to never again flood the earth, to represent their repugnant ways.

While I and other true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ feel despair while watching the homosexual agenda advance, we know that the bible forewarns us that this type of behaviour will be rampant prior to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I feel a strong sense of sadness for those who will choose not to repent from this sin and conform to God’s law before the time of the end.

Though it seems like there is nothing we can do to stop the advance of the homosexual lifestyle, Christians still have a responsibility to speak up for the Lord when He moves them to do so in their hearts.  We have a duty to speak God’s word, especially when the laws of man pretend to be above His eternal laws.  It should be a part of every Christian’s own personal development plan to endure persecution while speaking up for what God says is right while in this life in order to have rewards from God in eternity.

Do not be fooled by the sleight of hand techniques that gays and lesbians are using to thwart the attempts of morally upright citizens to abolish their behaviour.  The leaders of the homosexual movement will continue to do whatever they can to take the focus off the details of their fornication while dangling their proverbial carrot of happiness and love in front of the public.

I applaud the people of California who voted yes for Proposition 8, effectively eliminating the right of same-sex couples to marry in their state.  I heartily encourage every Christian who participated in this vote and those who have kept quiet in the past to let their voices be heard from the rooftops should this issue rear its ugly head again.

Perhaps there is still time for a morally corrupt North America to repent and return to God’s ways, relegating homosexual activities to hell where they belong. :evil:

    At no point in my article did I say that gay people should be killed. I merely expressed God’s displeasure with the practice of homosexuality. Thanks for joining the discussion!

    I don’t agree with your politics, but the real issue I have with your arguments is that I don’t believe you have a Biblical understanding of sin.

    From your article:

    I love God and yet am guilty of sinning every day of my life. My sins? Pride, anger, lust, you name it. I willingly choose anger over love if I lash out at my children, wife, grocery store clerk, and so on. I willingly show pride when conversing with colleagues or discussing my favorite football team with friends. However, despite my sin, God loves me. Loving God and sinning, regardless of what those sins may be, are not mutually exclusive.

    Todd,

    I never claimed in my article that loving God and sinning were mutually exclusive. I am sure you feel sorry for getting angry or showing pride at the end of the day and therefore ask to be forgiven. Homosexuals love their lifestyle and demand acceptance by society rather than asking for forgiveness from God.

    I openly admit that I also sin every day and therefore ask for forgiveness at the end of the day like any good Christian would.

    I should also point out that I have a very good understanding of what sin is, since I know that all sin is the same in God’s eyes. After all, it is said in James 2:10 “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” However, the sin of homosexuality is specifically pointed out by God in the bible as abomination.

    As Christians who claim to love God, we have a duty to do our utmost to live up to His expectations of us each day. This means doing our best not to get angry, not to be proud and not to lust.

    Those who openly choose to follow the homosexual lifestyle and claim to be Christian would have you believe that God loves them despite the fact that they willingly embrace being homosexual without repenting for their sin.

    Proverbs 26:11 says “As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.” It is the duty of anyone who claims to love the Lord Jesus Christ, that once they have knowledge of Him and have accepted Him as their saviour, they should try with all their might to resist the temptations of the flesh.

    Willingly participating in the homosexual lifestyle, parading through the streets of our cities half dressed, demanding equality under the law based on their sexual orientation and promoting the teaching to our children that homosexuality should be an accepted practice: do these sound like people who love God and want to do His will?

    No, they want to twist the words of scripture, preferring to promote the fact that Jesus loves everyone while attempting to diminish the fact that they openly desire to continue living their chosen lifestyle.

    Homosexual men or women who hate themselves for their sin and are actually repentant have an obligation to depart from their sin because of their love for Christ, whereby they are then no longer willing participants.

    Forgiveness for sin is granted by Christ based on the condition of our hearts. If we are truly repentant, we deserve forgiveness. Asking for forgiveness for any sin while continuing to actively take delight in its practice is ineffectual prayer.
